REAL WOOD. BUILT FOR YOUR SPACE.
Choose the authentic character of reclaimed wood or the cleaner, more consistent look of new hand-hewn white oak.
Our hollow wood ceiling beams are custom built to create the appearance and presence of solid timber while making ceiling installation much more practical
TWO WAYS TO CREATE THE LOOK
Whether you want centuries of character or a cleaner wood surface you can stain to your design, we offer two distinctly different ways to build your ceiling beams.
We start with authentic reclaimed beams and preserve the original exterior surface while hollowing the beam for a more practical ceiling installation.
Every reclaimed beam is different. Original axe marks, saw marks, checking, mortises, nail holes and variations in color are part of the material’s history—not manufactured distressing.
Available surfaces:
- Hand Hewn
- Rough Sawn
- Natural reclaimed color and character
- Custom sizing based on your project
HAND-HEWN WHITE OAK BOX BEAMS
For those who want real wood texture with greater consistency, we custom build ceiling beams from new, kiln-dried white oak.
These 1″ thick white oak boards are hand hewn by Amish craftsmen, creating authentic tool marks and texture without the mortises, nail holes and irregularities found in reclaimed material.
This natural white oak has a light, neutral color and can be custom stained to coordinate with your floors, cabinetry, furniture or overall design.
A great choice when you want:
- Consistent color and dimensions
- Real hand-hewn texture
- Fewer holes and historic imperfections
- A stain-ready surface
- A cleaner rustic or transitional look
THE LOOK OF SOLID BEAMS.
WITHOUT ALL THE WEIGHT.
Our ceiling beams are hollowed or constructed to create the appearance of a massive solid timber once installed.
The open interior makes decorative ceiling applications much more practical while allowing the visible faces of the beam to remain real wood.
This type of construction is commonly referred to as a box beam, hollow beam, or faux beam. Unlike molded or synthetic faux beams, ours are made from real wood.
HAND HEWN OR ROUGH SAWN
HAND-HEWN

Hand Hewn beams were originally shaped by custom craftsmen using axes and hand tools.
The faces are irregular and show visible tool marks, giving each beam a heavily textured, historic appearance.
This is usually the best choice for someone looking for the most rustic and authentic look.
ROUGH- SAWN

Rough Sawn beams were shaped using early sawmills rather than entirely by hand.
Their faces tend to be straighter and more uniform while still showing original saw blade marks and aged wood character.
This provides a rustic appearance with somewhat cleaner lines.
