RECLAIMED MUSHROOM WOOD

Coast to Coast Barnwood offers authentic reclaimed mushroom wood in Tampa, Florida. Also known as mushroom board, this distinctive reclaimed lumber was originally used in commercial mushroom-growing beds, where years of use naturally created the deep grooves, raised grain, and weathered texture that make every board unique.

Years of exposure to moisture, compost, and the mushroom-growing environment naturally wear away the softer fibers of the wood, creating deep grooves, raised grain, and an unmistakable weathered texture. The result is a reclaimed wood product with incredible depth, rich earthy color, and character that simply cannot be recreated with new lumber.

Mushroom wood is an excellent choice for accent walls, ceilings, fireplace surrounds, bars, doors, cabinetry, commercial interiors, and other architectural features where texture and natural character are meant to stand out.

Naturally Sculpted Texture

The unmistakable character of reclaimed mushroom wood comes from its original use in commercial mushroom-growing beds. Years of exposure to moisture, compost, and repeated use wear away portions of the softer wood fibers, revealing a deeply textured surface with pronounced ridges, grooves, knots, and irregular grain.

The result is a naturally sculpted appearance that is difficult to reproduce with newly manufactured lumber. Light and shadow move across the textured surface, making mushroom board especially striking when used on walls, ceilings, fireplace surrounds, and other architectural features.
