HOW THEY’RE UNIQUE

Re-Sawn Wood

Rough Sawn
Our rough sawn beams come from early American settler barns and cabins. These beams offer unique features like, pinned and mortised ends, notched fittings, and circular saw marks. Commonly used over fireplaces, these beams also create visual impact used as shelving or incorporated into cabinetry, bars, or summer kitchens.

Hand Hewn
The most obvious unique feature of hand hewn beams are the original hatchet and notch marks created by the hand chiseling used when our forefathers worked these beams without modern day tools. Each hand-hewn beam clearly tells the story of its original use and the skill and methods used in its creation. Celebrate the pre-industrial craftsmanship of centuries gone generations with every look at these authentic pieces of construction art.

THESE ARE EXAMPLES OF WHAT WE COMMONLY HAVE IN STOCK. EVERY BEAM IS UNIQUE.
